To observe a deployed node, Telescope helps you achieve this through metrics, logs, uptime and alerts. The dashboard gives you a overview of these functionalities and quick actions.

Metrics Dashboard and Logs

The metrics dashboard enables you to monitor both your node health and network dashboard.

Node Health Dashboard

Setting up the Node health dashboard requires a project name and the selection of either a push or pull scrape method. Installation instructions are on the right side of the dashboard

Enble Logs

The option to enable logs creates a logs dashboard alongside the metrics dashboard being set up.

Network Dashboard

On monitoring a network, the first step is to select a network to monitor.

After a network has been selected, at least one dashboard trigger is required to proceed.

This overview displays the metrics dashboard set up and running.

Alerts

Two alert directory for easy navigation, alert dashboard for monitoring metrics and logs, contact points for up time.

Dashboard alert and Uptime alert

On creating a dashboard alert for metrics or uptime, the auto generated alert name can be maintained or edited to suit a users preference. A contact point can either be created at this point if no contact points have been created and the final field is to select an existing project to receive alerts on with selected triggers.

Uptime

To set up uptime, the available monitor type is HTTPS and you are required to name the monitor to be created alongside provide the URL of the deployed node to monitor. To connect to your HTTPS monitor, you have the option of selecting between a GET or POST method and provide your preferred request interval and timeout. An option exist to enable monitoring for domain name expiry.
